Bowerbird Couple Wall Lamp for Edison, 2024. Ceramic and electrical components, 26 x 14.5 x 8.5 inches (66 x 37 x 22 cm)
This wall sculpture luminaire integrates ceramic shells and details, fabric wrapped SVT wire and medium base E26 sockets.
Persimmon is a mushroom-shaped hand-built ceramic table lamp finished in a matte glaze with an ombre effect. The plinth base and socket cover are integrated into the main body making one seamless sculptural ceramic shell. The cutouts on the body add character and project multiple round spots of light, while concealing the light source.
The names of the lamps in Goemon Cinnamon Cardamom collection derive from playfully associating fruits and spices found in a pantry with the legendary character Ishikawa Goemon, the greatest thief from the 16th century Japan.
