The exterior is unglazed and has a dry texture. The interior is glazed in a matte clear glaze for water and an easy cleaning. These are made in terra-cotta, fired in a lower temperature than other stoneware pieces. The exterior can absorb water like flower pots but can dry quickly.
Each vase has unique squished imprints. After throwing them on a wheel, I place them next to one another and gently squeeze them when they are still wet.
